Expected results
Specific Objective N°1 : to develop a curriculum on Liberation Theology for Christians and Muslims in Africa.
A1. Research on Human behaviour, religion and Liberation Theology
The research is designed to enable us to understand better the degree of influence religion has on the citizens and the level of distortion it has created in their life.
A2. Development and production of context specific liberation theology curriculum and manual.
The findings from the research would be analyzed and used as part of the tools for developing curriculum on Liberation Theology
Specific Objective N°2 : Seminars
A3. Seminar/Workshop to disseminate research findings and identify Pastors and religious leaders willing to commit to Liberation Theology
sharing findings and identify Christian Leaders (Pastors) who are committed towards liberation Theology and ready to work to stop these distortions, and promote social justice and solidarity building for the liberation of the oppressed
Specific Objective N°3 : Study centres
A4. Integration of liberation theology curriculum into schools of theology and Political Education study centres and trainings with developed manual
a)Liberation Theology influencers would be identified among the Pastors who would be able to encourage other Christian leaders to adopt Liberation Theology; b)Practical application of lessons from liberation theology by groups trained (Study centre and schools of theology)
Specific Objective N°4: Use of Medias
We have just completed the research- The research findings and publications would be out in the next few days, including the publication from our recent seminar.
The website should also be able to serve as a platform for developing membership for the West African Liberation Theology Association.
